NetEnt seals Planet of the Apes license agreement
NetEnt, leading provider of digital gaming solutions, has signed an agreement with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products to exclusively license the Planet of the Apes film franchise for online casino gaming.
The partnership covers the entire Planet of the Apes brand – which has a rich heritage spanning more than 50 years – and will see the multi-media brand used for the first time in online casino gaming.
NetEnt’s Planet of the Apes slot is set to create a huge buzz among film fans and players when it is released in the second half of 2017. The game will feature stunning graphics and unique game mechanics that will bring to life the power and excitement of the brand.
The simian franchise originates from the novel La Planète des Singes. In 1968 the first movie based on the book premiered, and spawned the cherished series. The most recent releases – Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) – have both been critical and commercial successes.
